PowerPoint Training CourseThis one-day course builds on the skills and concepts taught in PowerPoint 2013: Basic. Students will customise PowerPoint by modifying the Quick Access Toolbar and creating macros.

They will also apply themes and templates, and they will work with SmartArt graphics and tables. Students will add multimedia content and interactive elements to slides, and they will learn about presentation distribution options including PDF and HTML. Finally, students will integrate PowerPoint with Word and Excel. Designated as Approved Courseware. For comprehensive certification training, students should complete PowerPoint 2013: Basic and Advanced.

Course objectives

After completing this course, students will know how to:

  1. Control global settings by using slide masters, apply transition effects, control and record timings, and create custom slide shows.
  2. Crop images and remove background elements, insert and edit media files, apply animation effects, and create a photo album presentation.
  3. Create and edit SmartArt graphics, create tables from scratch, and create and format charts.
  4. Create action buttons for user navigation, and create and edit equations.
  5. Integrate Microsoft Office files, create a presentation from a Word outline, embed and link external resources, and create hyperlinks.
  6. Insert review comments, protect a presentation with a password, create handouts in Word, and prepare a presentation for delivery in several formats, including CD, PDF, video, and image files; and deliver a presentation online.
  7. Customize application settings and toolbars, and create and apply custom themes.

Prerequisites

Before taking this course, you should be familiar with personal computers and the use of a keyboard and a mouse. Furthermore, this course assumes that you've completed the PowerPoint 2013: Basic course or have equivalent experience.

Target Audience

Thetarget student for this course should be comfortable using a personal computer and Microsoft Windows. You also need to know the basics of using Microsoft PowerPoint 2013. You will get the most out of this course if your goal is to become proficient using PowerPoint's advanced features to create enhanced presentations.
